Greg Dortch, Justin Jackson Lead Teams to Big Conference Victories in Close Games
Louisville, Ky. – October 30, 2017 – Greg Dortch (Wake Forest) and Justin Jackson (Northwestern) earn the Paul Hornung Award for the first time, combining for five touchdowns three different ways and leading their teams to signature conference victories.
The Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse is given annually by the Louisville Sports Commission to the most versatile player in major college football. The winner of this year’s award and his family will be honored on March 7, 2018, at a banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville, Ky.

Familiar faces Saquon Barkley, Joel Lanning Lead Teams to Big Conference Wins
Louisville, Ky. – October 23, 2017 – Saquon Barkley (Penn State) and Joel Lanning (Iowa State) made repeat appearances on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll by playing a combined total of seven different positions on offense, defense and special teams, and leading their teams to conference victories.

Trio Combines for 558 Yards, Five Touchdowns, 10 Tackles Playing Offense, Defense, Special Teams
Louisville, Ky. – October 16, 2017 – Nyheim Hines (NC State) and Joel Lanning (Iowa State) return to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for the second week in a row, joined by first-time honoree Troy Williams (Utah). The trio combined for five touchdowns four different ways, and accounted for 558 yards and 10 tackles playing offense, defense, and special teams.

Foursome Combined on Offense, Defense, Special Teams to Touch Ball Nine Ways
Louisville, Ky. – October 9, 2017 – Three newcomers – Kenny Hill (TCU), Joel Lanning (Iowa State), and Jordan Whitehead (Pitt), and repeat performer Nyheim Hines from NC State – earned Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for week six of the college football season. Whithead led the Panthers in rushing and solo tackles; Hines touched the ball five different ways for the Wolfpack on offense and special teams; Hill accounted for Horned Frogs’ touchdowns passing, rushing, and receiving; and Lanning played 78 total snaps for the Cyclones at linebacker, quarterback, and special teams
