Award Presented by Texas Roadhouse to Most Versatile Player in Major College Football

Louisville, Ky. – Nov 4, 2025 – Five players representing the American, SEC, Big Ten, ACC and Big 12 conferences were named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for their performances in week 10 of the college football season. Making the list are David Amador II, UTSA; Anthony Evans III, Mississippi State; Roman Hemby, Indiana; Caullin Lacy, Louisville; and J’Koby Williams, Texas Tech.

The National College Football Awards Association will honor Lacy as the Paul Hornung Award Player-of-the-Week for his performance in the Cardinals’ win over Virginia Tech.

UTSA sophomore wide receiver / return specialist David Amador II touched the ball receiving, passing and returning punts and accounted for three touchdowns two different ways, including the game-winner, as the Roadrunners upset Tulane at home 48-26. Amador caught scoring passes of two and 14 yards and threw a 21-yard touchdown pass as UTSA built a huge lead in the first half.

Mississippi State junior wide receiver / return specialist Anthony Evans III touched the ball nine times receiving, rushing and handling punt returns and scored the winning touchdown as the Bulldogs defeated Arkansas 38-35 in Fayetteville. Evans caught five passes for 111 yards, including a 45-yard scoring strike in the third quarter and an 18-yard scoring strike late in the fourth quarter for the game winner.

Indiana senior running back / return specialist Roman Hemby touched the ball 22 times rushing, receiving and returning kickoffs and scored on a 16-yard run in the third quarter as the Hoosiers overwhelmed Maryland in College Park, 55-10. He accounted for five first downs rushing all on scoring drives and returned a kickoff to the IU 37-yardline.

Louisville senior wide receiver / return specialist Caullin Lacy touched the ball 11 times receiving, rushing and returning punts and kickoffs and scored once as the Cardinals came from behind in Blacksburg to defeat Virginia Tech 28-16. Lacy recorded a game-changing performance over a six minute span in the third quarter: a 24-yard touchdown reception, a punt return of 49 yards to the five-yard line to set up the winning score and a 23-yard punt return to midfield to give the Cardinals field position.

Texas Tech sophomore running back / return specialist J’Koby Williams touched the ball 18 times rushing, receiving and handling a kickoff return as the Red Raiders went on the road to defeat Kansas State, 43-20. Williams caried the ball 17 times for 135 yards, scored on a 41-yard run and accounted for five first downs from scrimmage, including two on scoring drives.

The Louisville Sports Commission successfully launched the Paul Hornung Award in 2010 to honor its namesake and native son, and to promote outstanding performances by versatile college football players who often go unnoticed. Each week during the regular season, a panel of college football experts selects players for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll based on performance. A national selection committee comprised of 18 sports journalists and former NFL stars votes for the Hornung Award finalists and the winner, with fan voting powered by Texas Roadhouse comprising the 19th vote.
