Four Players from Three Conferences and One Independent Earn Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll in Week Eight

Award Presented by Texas Roadhouse to Most Versatile Player in Major College Football
Louisville, Ky. – Oct. 21, 2025 – Four players representing the ACC, MAC, Big 12 conferences, as well as one independent school, were named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for their performances in week eight of the college football season. Making the list are Jacob De Jesus, Cal; Jaden Nixon, UCF; Jadarian Price, Notre Dame; and Victor Snow, Buffalo.
The National College Football Awards Association will honor Price as the Paul Hornung Award Player-of-the-Week for his performance in the Irish’s win over USC.
Cal senior wide receiver/return specialist Jacob De Jesus touched the ball 20 times four different ways and scored once as the Golden Bears held off North Carolina 21-18 in Berkley. De Jesus caught 13 passes for 105 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown reception late in the first quarter; five of his receptions went for first downs, including four on scoring drives. He carried the ball one time, returned one kickoff, returned two punts for 12 yards and fair caught three punts in a game where field position was critical.
UCF senior running back/return specialist Jaden Nixon touched the ball 10 times three different ways and scored twice as the Golden Knights overwhelmed West Virginia 45-13 at home. Nixon carried the ball seven times for 116 yards, including touchdown runs of 12 and 83 yards in the third quarter when UCF pulled away from the Mountaineers. Three of his carries accounted for first downs on scoring runs. Nixon also had one carry and returned a pair of kickoffs.
Notre Dame junior running back/return specialist Jadarian Price touched the ball 16 times three different ways and recorded touchdowns two different ways, including the game-winner, as Notre Dame defeated USC 34-24 in South Bend. Price carried the ball 13 times for 87 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter; he accounted for four first downs, two on scoring drives. In a game with several momentum swings, Price returned a kickoff 100 yards for a score late in the third quarter to give the Irish a 27-24 lead they would not relinquish. He had one catch and handled one additional kickoff return.
Buffalo junior wide receiver/return specialist Victor Snow touched the ball 12 times three different ways and scored twice, including the game-winning touchdown with just seconds to play, as the Bulls defeated UMass on the road, 28-21. Snow caught eight passes for 112 yards, with a 12-yard touchdown reception late in the first half as Buffalo dug out from a 14-3 deficit and a 16-yard touchdown reception with 0:19 to play that sealed the win. Four of his receptions accounted for first downs, all on scoring drives. He also carried the ball once and returned two punts.
The Louisville Sports Commission successfully launched the Paul Hornung Award in 2010 to honor its namesake and native son, and to promote outstanding performances by versatile college football players who often go unnoticed. Each week during the regular season, a panel of college football experts selects players for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll based on performance. A national selection committee comprised of 18 sports journalists and former NFL stars votes for the Hornung Award finalists and the winner, with fan voting powered by Texas Roadhouse comprising the 19th vote.
